Padang Bai Scuba Diving Bali

Padang Bai is located around 1.5 hours drive from Sanur or around 2 hours or more from Kuta/Seminyak area of Bali.

Padang Bai is one of the most popular dive areas of Bali and sometimes you may see more scuba divers than fish! Well not really but it can get busy there.

The waters around Padang Bai are crystal clear and there is a huge variety of marine life to see (as well as other divers....).

You should have no problems spotting some of these sea creatures - Kuhl's stingrays, angel fish, flathead fish, triggerfish, clown fish, lion fish, ghost pipefish and a good variety of nudibranch (who doesn't like nudibranchs!!).

There are loads of dive resorts at Padang Bai so rather than just doing a day trip up to Padang Bai you can go and stay for a few days. There are plenty of dive sites in this area to check out.

Scuba dive sites at Padang Bai Bali

There are a few good dive sites around Padang Bai and loads more at other areas not too far from Padang Bai including around Candidasa and Amed.

Blue Lagoon is located directly off the beach at Padang Bai. With incredibly white, soft sand bottom there is heaps of marine life around the Blue Lagoon Dive Site. The maximum depth at Blue Lagoon is 18 meters so perfect for all PADI Open water divers.

Jepun is another dive site just around the head land from Padang Bai. You need to take a boat to get around to Jepun. Here the have a submarine that they take non-divers down underwater to see the underwater marine life. This submarine is huge! You have to be careful not to get close to the back of the submarine near the propellors but you can swim up to the side of the submarine and clearly see the people inside. Jepun has some great sections of hard and soft coral. Majority of the dive site is at 18 meters but it does slope down to much deeper water.
