Trawagan Slopes is a scuba diving site off the north east coast of Gili Trawangan in the Gili Islands.
The gently slope from the beach with reef starting from 5 meters depth to around 25 meters. There is often a gentle to medium current with the waters traveling south between Gili Trawagan and Gili Meno so is good for gentle drift diving. Often you have boat drop you off at the northern end of Trawangan slopes and you drift down just north of the harbour and surface at the beach and walk back to your dive shop.
There are usually always large green turtles resting along the Trawangan slopes so a good chance to see them up close. There are also great examples of huge barrel sponges spotted all along the slopes.
There are a few aritificial reefs installed along the Trawangan slope with some excellent coral growth along their metal structure.
Expect to see lots of turtles as well as lots of different types of fish including different types of angelfish, trumpetfish, triggerfish, schools of sweetlips. There are also quite a few different types of stingrays including Kuhl's stingrays. Occasional during the right season you may see eagle rays and Manta rays swimming past in the deep water.
