There are only a few companies that offer helicopter joy flights or charter flights over Bali. The heliport is located on the Bypass highway just south of Sanur. The costs of joy flights in Bali is very expensive, more expensive then it costs to hire a helicopter in Australia. Some of the helicopters seat up to 6 people so if you can share the flight with other people it reduces the individual cost of the joy flights.
There are a few different options of joy flights over Bali:
1 helicopter joy flight flies down the coast line of Bali, over Kuta, Legian and Seminyak and then flies over Tanah Lot Temple and then returns to the heliport.
Another joy flight goes up to the north coast of Bali and flies over the 2 volcanos on Bali Island, Gunung Agung and Gunung Batur.
There is also a joy flight that goes over towards Lombok and flies over the Gili Islands.
You can also hire as a charter flight for the quickest way to get to the Gili Islands. Why travel by fast boat which takes more than a few hours to get to Padangbai Ferry port then transfer to boat across when you can fly to the Gili Islands in less than 15 minutes. There is a heliport on Gili Trawangan.
